Dr Adamali was investigating a lung problem I had, just prior to my meeting with him I was diagnosed with type 4 (terminal) cancer of the oesophagus/stomach and told my life expectancy was days, weeks perhaps and a month, I was introduced to my end of life support team, who offered me hospice support (which I declined). I attended the appointment with Dr Adamali, told him of my situation, he was not aware, he looked up my case and said there was treatment, he immediately contacted the person in charge of my case and TOLD them what needed to be done, commencing with an immediate blood test and CAT scan. Dr Adamali did forewarn me that I would be seeing a lot of the inside of hospitals over the next 12 months. I had chemo therapy, radio therepy, a tube fitted to allow me to feed, and 6 months later a 10 hour operation followed by 3 weeks intensive care. That was almost 3 years ago. My and my families undying gratitude to a wonderful Doctor.
