Very clear explanation of the alternative procedures available
Very pleasant demeanour
Gave me as much time as I wanted
Despite me believing I would have no issue with surgery I found myself surprisingly stressed on the day and the calm reassurance I was given was much appreciated
On a minor issue I would have liked to see the clock in theatre but this was obscured by the monitor. I was in and out of sleep and was unclear about progress
Dr Hugo Boyce, very friendly professional that explained the procedure for the operation, had time to talk to the patient putting any anxieties to rest. Visiting post operations to check recovery and answer any pending questions.
Personable, empathic, visited me post op to see how I was doing. Had a knee replacement--didn't feel a thing!
Dr Boyce was friendly and communication was brilliant throughout my sons stay in hospital.
My son was made to feel relaxed and Dr was happy to answer any questions
Pre-op -- pleasant in manner, caring, listened to my anxieties, gave clear explanations of his role, and my options re anaesthesia. During op, didn't feel a thing, did his job well. Following op he came round to see me every day to see how I was, couldn't have wished for better care. Inspired confidence.
