What a wonderful and comforting cardiologist. Having needed a very urgent referral to permit a procedure to go ahead I was assigned to Dr Shannon. I was somewhat concerned that I had been referred and that my operation might not go ahead. Dr Shannon listened to me, explained the situation, made me feel more comfortable both in my own health and my ability to cope with the upcoming procedure. She explained the issues and why concerns may have been raised and then reassured me that there was nothing to be concerned about. I am confident about my ability to cope with the procedure as well as understanding both why a referral was necessary and how to improve my health going forwards. I would recommend this doctor to anyone with concerns about their cardiac health and what they can be empowered to do to improve their position with regards to health. This level of professionalism is extended to the rest of her outpatients team I met today
