I had a full consultation appointment including a ultrasound scan on my right leg with Dr Gajraj in December 2020. Dr Gajraj listened to me as I explained my complex medical history and the reason why I had booked the appointment. It was clear that Dr Gajraj had read through the notes on file from my previous visit in August 2019, which was reassuring and built trust between us. Following a detailed discussion that covered my current treatment methods and routines, Dr Gajraj started the practical half of the appointment by taking external photos of my legs to retain on file as a reference - something that had not been done by any of the previous medical personnel that I had met with at previous appointments at both NHS and private facilities. Following the external photos being taken, Dr Gajraj moved onto the ultrasound scan on my right leg. The ultrasound scan was completed in a professional manner, with each part of the scan explained to keep me informed throughout the activity. Dr Gajraj turned the monitor towards me so that I could see the images on the screen as the scan progressed. Following the ultrasound scan Dr Gajraj confirmed that there was no evidence of a current or recent DVT in my right leg - which was news that I really needed to hear! Dr Gajraj then asked the nurse to measure my legs so that I could order some new compression stockings to continue my treatment. I left the appointment feeling informed, reassured, and supported; feelings I had not experienced when leaving NHS medical surgeries over the last few years. I was very impressed with Dr Gajraj's conduct during the appointment; polite, professional, and empathetic to my situation. I would happily recommend Dr Gajraj if anyone I knew was looking for a professional consultant to review and treat similar medical conditions.

Response from Dr Haroun Gajraj

Wow! Thank you so much for taking the time and trouble to write this wonderful review. You have very clearly described what we do at our clinic and how we try to help people. In many cases we can treat our patients and "cure" the problem. For others the vein problem is chronic and needs to be self-managed by the sufferer. In these latter cases, understanding the problem often helps allay fears and concerns and helps patients to look after their vein conditon. My team and I are very pleased to have helped you and your feedback means a lot to us, thank you. Haroun Gajraj
