I was looking for a new psychiatrist and Dr Fourie seemed to get good feedback on the site. I tried an initial consultation with her. I was disappointed though as although she said a few helpful things, on the whole I found her frustrating, as she didn’t seem to listen to what I said, and was quite negative at times. I decided to not go back as I didn’t feel I could relax with her and she didn’t feel supportive. Also I have found another psychiatrist who I feel a lot happier with. I don’t think she would be very suitable for sensitive or vulnerable patients. I think it might be better if she sits back a little and focuses on the patients needs rather than putting forward her own views so much.
