I had intensive ECT therapy and am traumatised by it. The ECT suite is like a hotel suite, but the results are seriously dangerous. I attempted suicide after 16 treatments (two per week), but unfortunately survived. My memory of the conversations were erased by the treatments. Do not listen to Dr Mundempilly, these treatments are very short term, ask Ernest Hemingway.

Very unsuportive and would not listen to family concerns resulting in wife being put in danger on several occasions. My wife was able to run rings round him and his team. Decided that the patient was mentally competent although she was under the care of unit for over 7 months with no significant improvement Also noticed that weekends the unit was staffed by doctors with very poor English and high number of Agency staff.
