An ALMHS referral was submitted on ward round with in a few hours Dr Mustafa and Nicola Clare (ALMHS manager) came to the ward to review the patient. He had appreciated the urgency of the referral and came soon after the referral was made.
He listened to the concerns of the Ward Sister and explained why the patient was behaving the way he was. He took time to review the patient to ensure he knew all the facts. He then made a plan of care and stayed with us for it to be initiated. He was on the ward for approx. 1 and a half hours. This made the ward staff feel comfortable with the situation.
He was professional and friendly towards the ward nurses and doctors.The ward staff were very happy with his approach to the situation
