As a 79 year old asthmatic who went down with 'flu 4 days ago, I did not want to go into the week end without being checked by a Doctor. I give the practice full marks that when I telephoned this morning I was fitted in with an appointment with Doctor Thomas at 10.20. After a short wait Dr Thomas saw me with my wife and I explained my worry that the 'flu had gone onto my chest. After a very thorough examination she said that I was wheezing and that she wanted me to go on a course of Amoxiillin. We left Dr Thomas much reassured.

Dr Dorothy Thomas is one of the best G.P.s ever. She is caring, kind, considerate and has a genuine regard for her patients. Any consultation with Dr Thomas is never hurried or rushed, she listens carefully and fully explains diagnoses and treatments. It would be difficult to find a G.P. any better. Patients in Blyth and Bawtry practice are extremely lucky to have her as their doctor.

This was the first time I had consulted Dr Thomas. She listened carefully and sympathetically to the rather convoluted story of my recent falls and painful leg and typed notes. She examined me and took my blood pressure and asked details about my falls. she has referred me to the falls team and I was impressed to be contacted later that day. She has referred me to the Nurse to check my hearing. My wife and I came away reassured.

I was able to see Dr Thomas ar short notice which was essential for my problem. Dr Thomas is caring, considerate, listens carefully and explains any treatment or tests fully. She is such a calm welcoming G.P. and the practices is extremely lucky to have her. She never hurries yet always manages to give an excellent consultation whilst being friendly and welcoming.
