Dr Quested reneged on his word with OHFT’s support.
To be frank the first time I encountered this doctor he shocked me by diagnosing me without having met me. I never felt his diagnosis was correct and was forced into meeting him for many years and then his successors.
In July 2005 in from of many staff as witnesses Dr Quested said I would only be detained a year or two from then. He never kept his word and I feel no one cares that he didn't. Repeatedly I have brought this up with PALs who don't respond and have failed to produce any reports from an investigation into this. I feel failed.
From what I hear a section lasts a minimum of thirty years but I never heard Dr Quested asked to be sectioned so he doesn't seem to practice what he preaches.
I want the Warneford and Little more to close but I have never heard Dr Quested or PALs agree with me or support me or ask to stay as a patient at the Warneford.
Thoughtful. Kind. Compassionate. Intelligent. Interested.
brilliant clinician. treats holistically not just recommending medication.
Takes a detailed history but is selective in what he reports. Rather cold and disconcerting manner, so rapport is poor and not that approachable. But he clearly cares and takes his job seriously.
Main problem is very poor at following up care of chronic outpatients - patients have to chase him up and easily fall off the radar. Also does not listen to patient's desires for treatment or give full enough reasons for treatment plan.
