I was referred to Dr Majumdar after an ultrasound showed up what was thought to be a lesion/mass on my liver. I've seen many consultants over the past 11 years since my diagnosis of Haemochromatosis and associated cirrhosis and given the worry and extreme anxiety that this ultrasound caused I was seen by Dr Majumdar very promptly within a week. I asked some very direct questions around potential causes and he answered succinctly, but most importantly didn't let my mind run away with me. I was booked in for an MRI the following day and within a couple of working days I got the diagnosis I wanted, in that it wasn't cancer. I've had follow up appointments and an endoscopy and throughout the whole process Dr Majumdar has been professional, informative and most importantly when you have a patient extremely worried that it could be a bad ending, he has been caring and unlike some other consultants I've seen, his bedside manner has been excellent. I cannot recommend him highly enough and know that I'm in safe hands going forward.
