Prior to the surgery, Mr Uncles visited me in my room to introduce himself and to explain the procedure and answer any concerns. He also checked up on me the morning after the operation to see if all was OK. He appeared relaxed and caring. I was quite anxious about having a spinal block for my hip replacement surgery. I voiced my concerns to Mr Uncles who reassured me that it would not be painful. I had sedation along side the spinal block and I have no recollection of having the needle inserted or any pain. This has totally reassured me and I will be more than happy to have such a procedure again.
