I was in for day surgery, to have a hysteroscopy to have a cervical polyp removed. Dr Uncles immediately put me (and my husband) at ease. He listened during my conversation with the surgeon and then had a lengthy discussion with me. He went on to offer me an alternative to a general anaesthetic(a spinal) so I would be more likely to make a quicker recovery( I was hoping to run a half marathon a few days later!). He explained what each type of anaesthetic would entail. He took an interest in me as a person. He gave us a lot of time and at no point did we feel rushed.
I had total confidence in him and was reassured to see his face when I finally went into theatre. I decided on the general anaesthetic. Dr Uncles came to see me after the surgery and was again, kind and reassuring and answered any questions.
