It had been 40 years since I last had an anaesthetic in adolescence, and on that occasion, I'd had some distressing side-effects. I mentioned these to Dr Uncles who was wonderful at allaying fears, and assuring me that this area of medicine had evolved significantly in that time! He had a good sense of humour, and saw me before I went to theatre, minutes before the surgery, and then post-op. What a thoroughly nice chap...! I'd recommend him to anyone, especially if you have any nagging anxieties about this part of the operative process. Thank you Dr Uncles.
