After retirement I battled with severe depression and anxiety which continued for five years. After a few good years, the condition returned. I had an appointment with Dr Horne, who determinedly said "We're going to do something about this," and outlined how he intended to treat both the depression/anxiety and the underlying problem of hypertension. When I left the surgery, I realised that the anxiety had gone, because all I had ever needed was the determination to crack the problems and even more, reassurance. I have continued with Dr Horne as my GP since then and found him to be extremely professional, knowledgeable, thorough and understanding. I have complete trust in him as my doctor.
