It is well known that getting a GP appointment in a practical timescale is proving increasingly difficult. When Dr Newbrook proposed my next consultation could be delivered by 'phone I was pleased. When this was followed by, "Is it ok if I call you between these times?", I was delighted. It proved to be an efficient, practical and timely approach; ideal for time pressured GP's and offering patients a solution to a real issue. Face to face appointments still have a place of course, yet the 'phone gives all parties greater flexibility.
