Both my partner and I found Dr Chris Marshall very pleasant and a good listener. He was also helpful in that he secured an extra night's stay for me to save the overnight recovery being the responsibility of my partner. Having said that other aspects of my 2-day stay were sometimes poor in that I was offered a very unpalatable sandwich of pappy white bread and reconstituted ham just before leaving recovery about 2-3pm and offered nothing else until the night shift came on when I was adequately catered for by a very pleasant lady. I suspect this shortcoming was largely down to poor organisation and nothing to do with the nursing staff. Michael Sherman, Clapham Ward, 7/8 August
