Dr Christopher M C Allen: Cambridge/Ipswich Neurology.
This doctor seemed to have a slightly dismissive attitude towards the patient's concerns and explanation of their own symptoms, as if he had already made his mind up before seeing the patient.
The patient felt the doctor was either unwilling or unable to offer reasonable recommendations or alternatives to the existing forms of treatment, which after a waiting time of several months is unacceptable.
As a result of this the patient will be pursuing a second opinion and other forms of treatment at their own expense.
Perhaps the hospitals involved should review their patient care policies in this area of care?
