I met with this doctor a few years ago at the Royal Gwent in Newport, Wales. I was anxious about this appointment and was a bit agitated when my appointment was late. Rather than try to calm me down and reassure me that everything will be okay, she went on the defensive telling me she didn’t want to hear my woes and to tell her why I was referred to her. I was that upset that I left the room. She then wrote to my GP saying inaccurate things about me and refused to treat me. I saw a neurologist privately who was just as bad (I think they knew each other). I was referred to the epilepsy clinic in Cardiff but they said I had to see someone in the Royal Gwent despite being refused previously and my GP making this clear. Because of her, I was without a neurologist for almost 2 years. She treated me with absolute contempt when I was in a vulnerable state and was experiencing stroke like symptoms when experiencing partial seizures. I wish I filed a complaint against this doctor because her conduct that day was unacceptable. I have also developed PTSD from this appointment and have to have a chaperone attend the appointment with me.
