Dr Raithatha is an excellent pain specialist. He is extremely knowledgeable and professional, while being friendly and putting you at ease. He. discusses your issues with you and really listens. He listens to understand and not to respond, which is sometimes rare to find in people. Once he fully understands your issue, he then sets out a treatment plan and discusses this with you and makes sure you understand and are happy with the chosen plan. He checks in at every stage to make sure you are still happy and always asks if you have questions. What struck me most was that he presented me with a treatment plan with multiple stages in case previous stages had little to no effect. This lightened a huge weight on my shoulders because I finally felt that no matter what, we would get there in the end and he wouldn’t stop until we did. After years of anxiety over my pain, Dr Raithatha improved my mental health through this alone. He views the patient as a whole person and not just as the problem presented. He is extremely patient centred and his care comes through in everything he does. Because of this he has helped improve my quality of life drastically. I’m so grateful I was referred to him. If ever there was an award for excellence in his field, he would definitely be my winner.
