I have always felt at ease with Dr Mawlood. He doesn’t rush me and listens to what I say. If I ask him about anything he gives me an honest answer and treats me with respect.He comes to see me at home as I am unable to go to the surgery.

I have not long ago been diagnosed with severely over active thyroid and with Dr Mawlood’s advice and support I have been able to adjust well with my new medications. He is always very informative and listens to all concerns you may have. He has also been great with my daughter who is only 17 months old. I have been a patient at Dr. Mawlood’s surgery for 25 years by now. Over recent years, I can’t believe how super efficient it has become, with him and Dr Keating so pleasant every time I visit. They have accesible appointment surgery hours from 8am - 6.15pm every weekday, except half day Wednesdays. I am an octegenarian, living on my own, and I can go on their website ANY time and prebook myself an appointment, more often than not on the same day,if not, certainly the next day. Should you need an emergency consultation, then you phone either at 8am or 1pm and there are slots kept for that purpose. I go to see Dr Mawlood for advice firstly about how to treat myself to get over an illness. When I need to take a medication, we discuss together as a partnership, the pros and cons of how long and how much I should take at my age. As I have COPD Dr.Mawlood has provided me with a home rescue pack of steroids and antibiotics. If I’m not well enough to go to the surgery, I can have a consultation by phone with him and he’ll advice me whether to start a course of steroids. This has only happened 3 times in two years, but the fact that I also suffer from chronic anxiety, this helps to reduce my panic attacks, knowing I have such immediate access.pfor relief. I haven’ t taken antibiotics for 2years. Since I’d had to start the steroids this last weekend, I made an appointment on my ipad in bed at 8am and noticed there was a free slot at 11am. Dr Mawlood comes to the waiting room to walk you through to his room. As we walked along, he apologised for keeping me waiting for 20 minutes! - He decide to take a blood test himself to check if I had a chest infection and ran through with it to reception to catch the Blood Van man - came back and said he’d phone me the following morning to say if I had an infection and whether to start antibiotics or not. The good news was that I didn’t. I can’t imagine a doctor that could give better treatment than that! In fact, EVERYONE of his staff are so pleasant and helpfull. Although the surgery is not in the same village as the Chemist nearby to where I live, I can have the choice of collecting my repeat prescriptions there. Also, any emergency medication can be sent over by fax within a few minimum hours. Dr. Mawlood also works closely with the Pharmacist. I also know that he does visits when need be to housebound patients. I really could go on and on how much I appreciate Dr Mawlood’s service and only hope that this isn’t used on his CV to take him away from us.

I have been a patient of Dr Mawlood for many years now, he patiently listens as I try to explain my symptoms comes up with right solution and explains in great detail as to the whys and wherefore of my problem and then prescribes the best medicinal cure. Over my sixty years he is the first doctor I felt totally confident and comfortable with, a great asset to Anglesey long may he remain.
