I have been suffering with Haemorrhoids for at least the past 2 years now and have been through several banding procedures, both through the NHS and Ramsey Health Care, the first procedure was with Dr Shonde at Woodthorpe Hospital and I remember it wasn't a particulary nice experience, it was a colonoscopy and he did the banding during the procedure, he didn't talk to me then and it just felt like he wanted to take my money and to get me out of the way so he can move onto the next patient. I felt alot worse following that procdure and since then have been suffering on and off with Haemorrhoids, always coming back, having been through the mill of the NHS I decided to take the plunge again and try going private at Woodthorpe Hospital for the second time, not realising I would end up dealing with Dr Shonde again I decided to go ahead and see if it would be different this time. He peformed a sigmoidoscopy and put 4 bands on the 1st degree Haemorrhoids, it all felt a bit rushed again and yes he completely failed to talk to me during and after the procedure, only the nurses talked to me and they even seemed a bit uncaring and unprofessional. It's been nearly a week now and everyday since I have felt miserable, in alot of discomfort and my backside has been sore and bleeding on and off. I've been taking paracetomols to try and ease the pain and laxatives to stop the constipation and soften the stools but nothing has helped, I can't get comfortable sitting down and standing up doesn't seem to help much either. I can safely say I will never go with Dr Shonde again after this experience and if he's reading this in anyway, you have no idea how angry I am with you right now and for those who read this who are thinking of going with him, don't waste your money on him, go with someone who will actually care and do a proper job that's qualified for it. There are several other reviews of him and yep theres another 3 or 4 that are negative, that tells you everything you need to know.
