Had banded haemorrhoids as an NHS patient.. he came in before procedure.very brief with words. I have had this procedure with the camera sigmoidoscopy before and it was at an nhs hospital. The NHS operator was caring and informative throughout the process. Dr Shonde on the other hand never spoke to me. I have never felt pain like it… I was calling out and he kept pushing in the camera causing me to contort with pain. The nurses said nothing either. After the procedure he went to a desk in the corner and never said a word. Never even acknowledged me as I was wheeled out. I was in pain for weeks and was sure he had perforated my bowel because it felt so back. Luckily that was not the case… but …. I would warn anyone… if you need this sort of procedure I suggest you go elsewhere. This is not the type of service you would expect whether it be NHS or private. I am surprised he is still operating. I am also surprised that the nurses stand by, say nothing and can live with themselves knowing that he mistreats patients.
