I have had nearly a year of pointless treatment at my GP before finally being referred. Annemarie listened to me, asked me suitable questions and reassured me before my examination. Not only did she give me a diagnosis and treatment, she also spoke sensitively about my other worries and anxieties around my weight, stress levels and family planning. She was truthful, knowledgeable but most of all explained things really clearly and took the time to do that well instead of just filling me with leaflets and sending me off. She has arranged a follow up phone call to see how I am getting on. I left the appointment and cried because I felt so relieved that someone had finally take the time to give me some answers and talk me through properly what it meant. She made me feel super comfortable despite me being really anxious to talk to someone new about my symptoms. It was really reassuring that she took her time and didn’t rush me at all, I felt like I wasn’t leaving that room until I had some answers and that was down to Annemarie.
