From our first consultation Mr. Andrew Eichholtz inspired me with his competency and his caring. He was extremely thorough in his investigations and has always gone the extra mile to both ensure my treatment regime was being effective and to keep me fully informed on all aspects of my condition; my treatment options; and my long term prospects. He has never tried to hide possible unpleasant possibilities from me but has also always emphasized to me that while incurable there is every prospect for my cancer to be controlled and even possibly become a chronic rather than an imminently fatal situation. Prior to my seeing him I was advised that I possibly had only days to live but now, after a year under his care I am stronger, have much less pain, and my cancerous lesions are all either shrinking or at worst static and not spreading or expanding. In fact I am now living a largely normal life again and able to do most of the everyday chores and behaviours that I did in the past. In effect i am able to enjoy a largely normal life again. I have come to trust his capabilities and decisions completely and would recommend him to anyone without any reservations what-so-ever. My only regret is that Mr. Eichholtz was not my appointed oncologist several year ago when I first presented with a lump in my breast. I truly believe that had he so been then I would have been much better informed and advised from the start and I would have agreed to more ongoing appropriate treatment back then and that this would have avoided the recurrence and development of the metatastic situation with which I must now live.
