I have been lucky enough to be under the care of Dr. Vaze for 4 whole years for my bipolar disorder and ADHD. I have been struggling with mental issues my entire life, and was never able to have any stability for more than a few months at a time. I remember going to my first appointment with my Mom at 25 years old, I was so sick I couldn't even take care of myself. I was taking so many medications other psychiatrists had prescribed me, piling up and making my living situation worst every day. That first appointment, he told us: "Give me 3 months, and I will give you your life back". Dr. Vaze weaned me off all those strong, expensive and useless medications I was taking, and prescribed me new ones that truly saved my life. Within a year, I was working full-time and back to my old self, someone I never thought I would see again. I am now taking only 3 types of medications, and have never been this happy. All this to say, I was very sad when he told us he was leaving Canada. Anytime I needed help, and thought I was having either a manic or depressive episode, he was only a phone call away, and within a day or two he was able to see me. Without Dr. Vaze I can't imagine where I would be in this life.
