I am very grateful to Dr Vaze. I have had issues with my driving and progressing into my carer. On the surface if you look at my mental health history, it doesn't paint the best picture. However, Dr Vaze met with me in person, got an extensive picture of my mental health and listen to my thoughts and feelings. I've never had a doctor who has listened to me like this, and I have been under the mental health services for 11 years. I am really grateful, thank you.

Dr Vaze was previously my doctor at the NHS, and is my doctor again now. He puts a lot of effort into explaining my symptoms and helping me with not only the medication but also the psychological aspects. My life is improving due to his diligence, care and overall passion towards the field, and that is why I opted to see him again even though it had been years since I previously interacted with him.

I came to see Dr. Vaze for a psychiatric assessment with a particular focus on potentially having ADHD. I have been dealing with problems impacting my life and he was highly methodical in considering and ruling out the possible causes. He was considerate and warm. He gave me very helpful advice in terms of changing my mindset about my condition and educated me on ADHD. He highlighted details that I had not considered previously. Overall, I had a great experience and he is extremely capable and knowledgeable.

I have been lucky enough to be under the care of Dr. Vaze for 4 whole years for my bipolar disorder and ADHD. I have been struggling with mental issues my entire life, and was never able to have any stability for more than a few months at a time. I remember going to my first appointment with my Mom at 25 years old, I was so sick I couldn't even take care of myself. I was taking so many medications other psychiatrists had prescribed me, piling up and making my living situation worst every day. That first appointment, he told us: "Give me 3 months, and I will give you your life back". Dr. Vaze weaned me off all those strong, expensive and useless medications I was taking, and prescribed me new ones that truly saved my life. Within a year, I was working full-time and back to my old self, someone I never thought I would see again. I am now taking only 3 types of medications, and have never been this happy. All this to say, I was very sad when he told us he was leaving Canada. Anytime I needed help, and thought I was having either a manic or depressive episode, he was only a phone call away, and within a day or two he was able to see me. Without Dr. Vaze I can't imagine where I would be in this life. I am not one to usually write reviews, but if you need help, and you're looking for a psychiatrist and he's available, do yourself a favour and book a consultation. It could truly turn your life around like it did to mine. I am forever grateful, and blessed to have been your patient. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.

Dr. Vaze was extremely understanding and supportive. Knowing that one has got adhd at 52 is rather overwhelming. In way and I regret I didn’t have the courage and acceptance to have looked into my mental health earlier, as I suffered from low level depression for a long time. In fact I had been doing things like meditation and mindfulness courses but never stuck to anything for the duration to see change. This assessment has also given me a much greater insight to my drinking regime which was essentially medication. I now need to take the next steps and move forward. Thanks again Dr. Vaze

Profile

Having spent 4 amazing years working in a Tertiary level Mood and Anxiety Program in Ottawa, Canada, where I have learnt so much and more importantly have been moved by the warmth, humility and reilience of Canadians, I have bittersweet emotions of leaving Canada but moving back to the UK which was my home for about 20 years before that. I am hoping to use this additional experience during my future NHS and private Consultant Psychiatrist work in Adult ADHD and Mood disorders.
