Not sure how to review an anaesthetist as I was out unconscious while he worked but (a) I was unconscious and (b) had effective pain relief with no side effects so obviously all good. This was due a foot surgical procedure.
I was very pleased with the pre-procedure briefing where he step by step explained everything that would happen and what to expect, which took a lot of the stress out of my first operation/general anaesthetic. Great communication, and a very pleasant manner while setting me up for the injection and putting me under.
He gave me a choice of anaesthetic and I took his recommendation to go for an ankle nerve block. No pain at all afterwards (writing this 24 hours later) just numb toes (as he had predicted) for a few hours.
Definitely happy to be cared by Dr Pawa again.
