I was seen today re repeated chest infections that I had suffered from over several months , I am a smoker of over 40 years . Dr Jones knows me very well and I have complete confidence in him , he encouraged me to give up smoking , which is advice that I took . Together with examining me , he ordered a chest ex ray and made it clear that I must stop smoking now . Dr Jones is not only fair and honest and I respect his opinion .I will be seeing a Practice nurse in the morning , to assist me in giving up , the ex ray is booked for tomorrow with a follow up appointment with Dr Jones next week . I could not ask for a more dedicated doctor , who has seen at my best and my worst . Apart from other physical conditions , I also have mental health problems too. Nothing is too much trouble . At a time when the NHS is under such great strain , he stands out , as both a dedicated and professional doctor , who I deeply respect . Long may he continue to practice !
