After months of discomfort and receiving very little in the way of support or help from the NHS, I contacted Mr Khan about lower back pain which had developed into severe leg numbness/pain. I was able to see Mr Khan within days and he immediately had several theories as to my potential problem after listening to my history. A prolapsed disc was swiftly diagnosed following x-ray and MRI scans, Mr Khan then walked me through the recommended surgery and potential risks that inevitably come will all surgery and the specific risks of this particular procedure. Surgery was possible within a couple of weeks and completed with no complications, I'm now 6 weeks post-op and couldn't have expected a better outcome. Mr Khan comes across as a very experienced professional with a warm personality and I can recommend him without hesitation. The whole team at Nuffield involved in my treatment were also fantastic from the radiography department, nurses, Mr Khan's secretary and a special mention to Mark Dearden, my anaesthetist who took plenty of time to explain how things work on the day.
