Re prostrate cancer. I felt totally at ease with Dr.Birtle.She gave me facts in a straightforward manner,and gave me an avenue of thought which until now I had dismissed as not warranting consideration.
Previously, I have had consultations with four doctors and two support nurses,who have all actually avoided giving an actual recommendation,which is understandable.At all times I have been given statistics and facts, but left with the 'it's your decision' situation. Dr Birtles actually told me what she would tell her father,in similar circumstances, which is what I needed. She has put a new dimension to the surveillance and monitoring option .
I feel very positive now,following my meeting with Dr Birtle.
