Alison Birtle has all you would want in a cancer consultant - she is extremely professional but also very approachable; she puts you at ease, explains clearly what she is doing and why, takes a genuine interest in you and your overall health, never seems rushed during an appointment, makes sure that you have understood what she is recommending and what she intends to do, and is always extremely courteous and polite. She is a real asset to the Lancaster Royal Infirmary.
