Dr. Birtle saw myself and my wife this morning and we both came away feeling better informed and more positive about the future. The doctor was very professional and appeared extremely knowledgeable and experienced. At the same time, she was very approachable and understanding.
Dr. Birtle explained things about my condition (prostate cancer) in a much clearer way than most other health professionals that we have seen in the last few years. Up to now, I have been pretty set against radiotherapy as the most appropriate treatment, but she enabled me to see the positive side of the treatment without understating the possible adverse side effects.
Her manner was empathetic and sensitive. She had a warm and humorous character whilst always maintaining her professional distance. I would wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Birtle to other patients.
