Prof Gatrad has seen all 3 of my sons for different reasons.
My eldest son (then 15) was diagnosed with diabetes. At the time we didn't know this and if Prof Gatrad had not acted so quickly, he would have been in a coma.
My twins had to be seen by him for suspected heart murmurs (then 12).
Prof Gatrad is fantastic with the children, he always talks very gently to them, which puts them at ease immediately and is keen to hear what the children have to say in response to their problems.
I personally find him very easy to talk to, he expains everything very thoroughly and makes it known that if there are ever any problems that he could be contacted to discuss the matter with him.
We, as a family, owe a great deal to Prof Gatrad and would always recommend him to any family who has worries about a child.
