Mary Lo

I had a nasty bicycle accident in which I broke my jaw. The result was several years of orthodontic work to correct my bite. During that time I was under the care of Mary at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Mary's patience, professionalism and happy disposition made the experience much easier to handle than might otherwise have been the case. I can't put into words how much I appreciate the care I received from Mary. She's a great asset to the NHS and despite the obvious pressures of working in an underfunded Health Service my clinical treatment was first class.

Mary was fantastic with both my children. Their teeth are fantastic now from a real mishmash. My sons were particularly difficult but she was reassuring explaining the different options clearly and the best way in her view.

Ms Mary Lo has been my orthodontist for a while she is amazing. She is caring and kind and has given me the perfect smile!

Ms Mary Lo is an amazing dentist / orthodontist. She has treated my daughter and always been very caring and helpful and gives great advise regarding the treatment. She has done a wonderful job sorting out my daughter teeth and always made her feel at ease.

In January 2018 my daughter began treatment with Mary Lo. My daughter was absolutely terrified of the prospect of treatment and Mary was faced with a patient who would barely open her mouth, and when she did it was to tell Mary she didn't need any treatment she liked having teeth sticking out all over the place. Unfortunately there were a few processes to complete before braces could be considered. Mary explained fully everything and a new appointment was made. Throughout the rest of the year amazing things happened in Mary's surgery. Terrified daughter became relaxed and willing to anything required, procedures Mary had explained worked exactly as she said they would. This lady is a superb dentist and her patience and compassion towards my child were admirable. Treatment has now ceased until my daughter is fully grown and when the time comes for the next phase and completion of her treatment I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Mary Lo will be part of it.

My son has been lucky enough to have Dr Mary Lo as his orthodontist at Chelsea and Westminster for the last 6 years. From age 10 to 16, she has provided him with wonderful care. His case was unusual and complex, but her expertise and persistence ensured a great outcome. We were delighted when his braces came off yesterday. She is an absolute pleasure to deal with as a parent and my son has always trusted her and felt comfortable with her, having grown from a little boy in year 6 to a teenager about to take his GCSEs. Mary has always gone the extra mile for us, fitting Felix in for extra appointments if there were any unexpected problems and she has been excellent at explaining quite a complicated process each step of the way. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Mary Lo to anyone requiring orthodontic treatment.

We are very happy with the treatment that we had from Mary, and were impressed with her attitude regarding achieving the best possible result, even if it meant additional appointments and the treatment lasting longer even though she was working for a fixed price.

I have been continually impressed by the wonderful care I have received from Dr. Mary Lo. She was recommended to me, but she exceeded my already high expectations. I felt very self conscious because of my teeth. I hated them. But over a number of years she patiently worked to improve them, and now I have even, straight teeth and no overbite. Thank you Dr. Mary Lo!!!

I feel very fortunate to have been recommended Mary Lo for my 18-month programme of fixed braces. I had received three other professional opinions before seeking Mary's and knew immediately she was a highly skilled and experienced orthodontist. She is a consummate professional: she took great care of me throughout, always managed my expectations about how long the treatment would take, explained what she was doing and why, and has a calm and reassuring manner. She has also explained very clearly what I need to do to maintain my teeth now the braces are off. I feel very fortunate to have been a patient of hers and would recommend her to anyone considering orthodontic treatment. I cannot think of any way in which she could improve her already high quality care.
