Last March, while I was training for Berlin Marathon 2015, I suffered a bad injury on my back. The spinal consultant told me that my sciatic nerve had suffered an irreversible damage (my big toe had no movement at all and the pain was tremendous). He told me I will not run again. I asked for a second opinion. The new Dr gave me the hope that I will recover some movement of the big toe and consequently, I would improve my leg mobility and has less pain. He recommended me to do Physiotherapy. I started my physio sessions, twice a week with Julie Penfold. My case was not simple, so she asked me to send her, the Dr reports and scans to look them before I had my appointment in order to prepare herself and decided the treatment to follow during our session. She is so professional and emphatic, always seeking for understanding your problem and release your pain. If she needs extra minutes to finish a treatment, she will do it! Slowly and following the advices and exercises that she gave me, I started to recover my big toe strength and mobility, as well as the hip control and regain the power on my leg/foot. After almost 6 months of treatment, I started to running again. Last week, I run PARIS MARATHON! I'm very grateful with Julie. Without her professionalism, care and passion I couldn't achieve my goal today. Many Thanks!!
