My daughter was diagnosed with ADHD several years ago. I first suspected I also had ADHD when completing the initial questionnaire and identifying so strongly with the answers and started to question my view of normality ("Does it seem as though your child is driven by a motor?" I thought this was normal!). It took several years for me to get to the point where I felt able to seek diagnosis and I am so grateful to have found the ADHD Centre. They have been wonderful from the beginning. The admin team are well organised, kind and very responsive. They also understand the challenges of ADHD and provide gentle reminders and the flexibility I need with the challenges I have with organisation. I have been under the care of wonderful Dr Upadhyay for just under a year. She made me feel comfortable and accepted from the start, not something I am accustomed to. As well as sharing her vast knowledge and experience of ADHD she also gently led me to understanding and acceptance of my diagnosis. Most importantly for me, Dr Upadhyay shared with me her joy in treating patients with ADHD that clearly underlies her patient, kind, warm and expert care. I am also an NHS clinician and know you can't fake this. She guided me through treatment choices and with balanced and detailed information and was particular in ensuring the best possible results for me. I have now been on medication for 6 months and it has been transformative. Less chaos, less anxiety and finally moving past that place of thinking what could I achieve if only I could stay on track/focus. I cannot overestimate the difference this has made to my life and I have Dr Upadhyay to thank for that. I know this is the reason she does what she does, for the difference it makes in the lives of people like me and that is what drives the very best healthcare professionals. If you are thinking about seeking a diagnosis, put yourself in the very safe hands of this wonderful team. Thank you Dr Upadhyay and the team, I will be forever grateful to you for the turning point in my life.

In 2022 my husband started to suspect he had ADHD and wanted to have this confirmed as the symptoms were affecting his ability to function in daily life. After struggling to get an ADHD assessment on the NHS, we decided to arrange this privately and we're very grateful to have found the ADHD Centre. The booking process is painless and can be done online - no need to call in, which can be stressful if you have ADHD and don't have anyone to support you in this process. You can read up about the team of psychiatrists available and choose one that you feel would be a good match. Appointments are via zoom and there is a range of times you can book, including early mornings, evenings and weekends, which is very flexible. Our experience with Dr Upadhya was fantastic. We knew what documentation to fill out beforehand and the session itself was run in a very calm way. I was able to join my husband for support and Dr Upadhya was incredibly patient with him, listened and explained every step of the process. As we thought, my husband had very high ADHD symptoms (combination type) and Dr Upadhya explained what medical tests/checks we needed to do in order to confirm he was able to get onto medication. Once we had the results of the tests, we were given an appointment within a few days to start the titration process. The medication he was prescribed has had a marked improvement and he has now settled on the dose that works for him. From diagnosis to completing the titration has taken 3 months, which were as painless as possible in this situation. We are now in the process of arranging a Shared Care Agreement with the GP, which the ADHD Centre initiates. Of course it is not all about medication and Dr Upadhya has given us guidance on other methods of managing my husband's condition, such as a good routine, sleeping pattern and therapy, which we are looking into now. We are very happy with the service we received at the ADHD Centre. Everyone is very kind and supportive, they respond to emails promptly and all of this made our experience incredibly positive. While going private is not the cheapest route, for us it was worth every penny to get my husband feeling more stable and happy. We would highly recommend the ADHD Centre for anyone who is looking for help with a diagnosis or treatment - you will certainly be in safe hands here.

Having had concerns about my concentration level for quite some time, I have been consulted by Dr Tari of The ADHD Centre. It was indeed an eye opener. Dr Tari interviewed in the most kind and warm manners with patience and while this I recalled long forgotten situations that support the diagnosis of ADD. I feel already better knowing that I’m not just a lazy person (as which I felt). Dr Tari expounded what this diagnosis meant and how to treat it. He suggested some necessary medical checks through the NHS (which were much harder to get) and in a second consultation he provided me with a plan of treatment. At this point, I’d like to thank Dr Tari and his highly efficient administrative team to get me to this ease of mind. I can only recommend them to anyone in search for ADHD advice. I will edit this in a view month with details on if and how medication has made a difference (which I positively anticipate)

I have had a great experience with the ADHD centre. I was treated by Dr Upadhya who I highly recommend. She who was very patient and thorough during the diagnosis and treatment process. I have since had several follow up sessions with her and she has always shown a keen interest in my well being. The ADHD clinic staff have also been great, they were also quick to respond to any emails I had. Private does cost, but I think it is more than worth it, I have a friend who have gone via NHS and unfortunately it takes a long time to get treatment even after diagnosis. I was fairly certain I have had ADHD my whole life but was always nervous about starting the process. The ADHD centre helps make this process easy for you. Since starting treatment, I have noticed a big change in my life in terms of productivity and focus and wish I had gone for treatment earlier in my life instead of leaving it so late. I highly recommend the ADHD centre to anyone who is considering going for treatment

Our experience with the ADHD centre has been amazing. Setting up the assessment was straightforward - the assessment itself was thorough and very comprehensive. The team communicate efficiently and respond to any queries very quickly. I have been very impressed by the service we received. We met Dr Faridi for the assessment and intervention. He was considered in his approach and was clear in his communication. Treatment plans were discussed in collaboration with my child with clear rational and recommendations. As a family we had supported our child with non pharmacological approaches as we wanted to avoid the medication route. My child’s difficulties became hard for them to manage and the difference medication and advice around psychological intervention and routine has made to them is remarkable. Very grateful to the team for guiding us through the process!

My experience with the ADHD Centre, and Dr Sani, was overwhelmingly positive! Had I been asked to review at the start of treatment there would have been fewer stars, I was impatient and I think I wanted to be “fixed” quickly. So I was frustrated with the thoughtful, thorough approach but now, having had the time to learn about ADHD, myself, and what treatment actually provides, I could not be happier with my care. Dr Sani, and the admin team, were always very patient with my sense of urgency and I am so grateful for the time that was taken to listen to my concerns whilst still doing ensuring treatment decisions were based on best medical advice.

Cannot recommend Dr Val Yeung any more and all the staff I have leased with at the ADHD centre. Very professional and helpful, quick response times and a friendly service. Dr Val Yeung seems to genuinely care, and my child felt at ease when talking with her- which is rare. The diagnosis and treatment my child received from this service was worth every penny! Would highly recommend.

My teenage daughter was seen at The ADHD centre by Dr Yeung and diagnosed with ADHD August 2021. I whole heartedly recommend Dr Yeung who we continue to see. My daughters diagnosis and the treatment protocols put in place have changed all our lives significantly. Her mental health, understanding of herself and academic achievements have been truly remarkable since diagnosis and most significantly family harmony has been largely achieved. Our consultations have all been on-line and I was a little sceptical of this at first particularly for the initial consultation which was quite long. However this was not a barrier and in some ways I feel my daughter was more comfortable with this. I have found Dr Yeung to be very personable and thorough in all of our consultations from case taking to listening to our concerns and offering resolutions which have worked. Without hesitation I recommend Dr Yeung and the ADHD Centre I only wish I had discovered them earlier.

It was a pleasure to be assessed by Dr Zadeh. He made me feel calm and at ease. His approach and evaluation were transparent. The follow-up appointments are helpful, and he can answer my questions clearly without being judgemental.

Dr Chowdhury was absolutely amazing in both the diagnosis and the treatment processes. She was very knowledgeable about the difference in symptoms between male and female ADHD patients. She was very patient and kind. I felt listened to and respected throughout my time with Dr Chowdhury, who always took my experience into account when deciding my course of treatment. I would wholeheartedly recommend Dr Chowdhury to anyone wishing to undergo ADHD treatment or diagnosis, especially women.
