I had a video call to discuss a possible ADHD diagnosis - the call was around 6am which was odd but fine. Overall I felt the call was cold and the doctor wasn’t really up for any kind of conversation - only half of the call time was used. I mentioned seeking an autism diagnosis on top of ADHD but he simply said i’d have to get a new referral. I left the call with a formal diagnosis but no further support other than a medication titration plan to be started in 6 months. I still feel as lost as when I started the process.

Response from Psychiatry-UK

Thank you for feeding back to us regarding your assessment. We are really concerned to learn that you feel lost and unsupported, particularly after a positive diagnosis, and would encourage you to contact our Patient Experience Team at: experience@psychiatry-uk.com. They will be able to call you to talk through these issues, and provide the help and support you need before moving on to the titration stage.
