I recommend Psych UK for assessments and diagnoses of ADHD and autism. The process has been smooth, for the most part, and the prescribing nurse I have been dealing with has been excellent, although there have been a few communication issues regarding my medication. I do not, however, recommend the consultant I had to deal with, Dr Aaron Lovelle. During my titration review, the consultant was brusque, unsympathetic, and did not appear to believe me when I told him my medication was no longer working. He asked me why I had been put on non-stimulants (I explained there had been a mix up with my medical record and it was documented that I had a heart condition, which I do not, hence the medication) and then told me I should have been more pro-active in sorting that mix-up out, when in reality none of it was my fault. I cried during the appointment and he was totally unsympathetic and unhelpful. I had to instead go to my prescribing nurse who has since prescribed Elvanse after talking with the consultant. I would rather not deal with this consultant again, who does not appear to understand how difficult and stressful meetings like this can be for ADHD and autistic people, and who blamed me for my medication not working.
