The process with Psychiatry UK was extremely smooth and a great experience. There was a long waiting list, but far far shorter than waiting for the default NHS service. They kept in touch with me and the online portal was very useful. I started titration for medication 6 months after diagnosis. My prescribing nurse was extremely friendly and patient and helped me try a variety of doses to find the right medication for me. It was easy to access the online system and keep in touch, order new prescriptions (which were delivered directly to home!) and they provided a blood pressure machine to check my blood pressure at home. My nurse was really patient with me when I was struggling to respond in good time due to physical health issues I was going through at the same time. I would highly recommend using the right to choose legislation to go through Psychiatry UK.
