I received prompt assistance from Psychiatry UK, starting from assessment to treatment, and was assigned an efficient mental health nurse for titration. However, the organisational emphasis on patient conformity over patient-centered care created a sense of pressure and fear, especially for myself with ADHD struggling with experiencing organisation and memory issues. The service seems standardised rather than tailored to individual needs, possibly due to operational pressures, despite the commendable efforts of my mental health nurse. There is a feeling of the service pushing for quick discharge. For anyone reading, please do take your time during the process and advocate for yourself and your needs to ensure best possible outcomes for yourself.

Response from Psychiatry-UK

Hello Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Firstly, we are pleased to learn that your journey to treatment was prompt and your prescribing nurse was efficient and supportive. However, we are really sorry to hear that you felt pressured during the process, especially as we are extremely focused on providing patient-centred care as an organisation. Although we cannot look into patient cases on this platform, we do have a dedicated Patient Experience Team. If you feel it would be beneficial to talk through your issues, please do contact them at: experience@psychiatry-uk.com. Many thanks The Psychiatry-UK Team
