The process from being referred was a lot quicker than what my GP had told me which was very nice. From being diagnosed, I have actually only spoken to one person, and this was for my diagnosis which took around an hour. It does seem a lot shorter than how others are diagnosed with ADHD but I do feel positive that I have it, as you obviously have to fit a certain criteria to even be referred. One thing I will say to anyone who is going through the journey of being diagnosed with ADHD and has chosen medication is to PLEASE stop looking online on platforms that almost glorify this. The medication videos where people feel 'instantly' better. Titration is NOT easy, at least it wasn't for me. So please don't feel like you are going to have the same experiences as someone else online who wants views. It's really hard mentally, especially for those who have anxiety and/or depression as it did really heighten my symptoms. I have gotten to a dose which works well for me and I am glad to have gotten to this place. Take it at your own pace, have no expectations. At one point I thought the medication alone was making me feel horrid, jittery, talkative, on edge. It was actually my caffeine consumption paired with a dose that was too high. Just be mindful about your lifestyle before immediately thinking it is the medication alone. Even on the correct dose, I cannot tolerate it. I feel settled on my dose and have had good communication from my prescriber. Overall positive, these are all the things I took from it though.
