In my view, the psychologist (billed as a specialist at working with adolescents) lacked empathy, and failed to follow through with providing us with additional information that he promised. He had an arrogant manner and seemed rather pleased with himself but I got no sense that he was actually interested in people or helping them. The building itself was also uninviting. There was no name on the door to signpost us to either the waiting room (which was upstairs) nor to our practitioner's room. When I asked the practitioner about this, he snapped that he'd not yet slotted his name into the door (we arrived on time, not early, so I'd have thought this was something he should do prior). It would be normal to apologise for poor signposting, rather than reacting defensively. Very, very unimpressed with the whole set up. The receptionist who booked the appointment at Clinical Partners was pleasant and helpful but the psychologist himself was not.
