NHS patients are treated with a lower rate service. Their NHS phone line does not exist, no one answered the phone when I called on multiple occasions to chase the report or my child's ASD assessment. Left messages, needless to say no one came back to me with a response.

Booking in for the appointment was amazing, clear and informative about the whole process. Very quick and flexible regarding appointments. Information arrived promptly and was followed up to confirm arrival and clarity. I had some questions and they were answered promptly even on the weekend. Totally different to the usual NHS process we have experienced where you receive a letter with a date and if you can't make it you end up loosing your place on the 'list' and have no idea what the appointment is for / how long and it's hit and miss if you see the right person. We have not yet attended an appointment so cannot comment on the cleanliness hence the middle score.

We haven’t been for our appointment yet so can’t comment further but the appointment process and referral has been handled brilliantly so far.

I was diagnosed by someone from clinical partners and had a good experience 5 years ago. I have bipolar 2. However the NHS local team undermined this diagnosis causing a series of problems and lack of support. When trying to go back and see a Prof with CP, I was rejected as they felt they couldn't help. It was the classic fob off tale that didn't even address the actual issues but addressed irrelevant side issues and avoided the central points altogether. If you have complex issues, even if they have very simple solutions they are not likely to want to take on the case. I have since found more qualified experts in bipolar and will seek their help. I was told that ALL CP practitioners wouldn't take on my case. I think they meant just the Cambridge unit as there was not time for them to have asked ALL CP staff if they would help me. As the assessment of the specialist I saw initially was undermined by the NHS in cost saving moves and, they said the NHS would likely undermine all assessments from the company so there would be no point. This implied all NHS staff would just undermine private diagnosis so they wouldn't want to get involved. So basically you are on your own if anyone challenges CP, they will not defend you, or even themselves but will avoid the potential issue. That would be akin to saying that because one NHS staff member acted bad, they all shouldn't be trusted. This reason makes no sense and they were clearly clutching at straws in order to use this as a reason to refuse. They also claimed I had a care plan in place as the other reason for refusal. Yes I did say this. However I clearly explained it was in place but not being acted on because of circumstantial stresses that I was trying to resolve with expert help. Turns out I was barking up the wrong tree. I also confided in them how a close relative had been subjected to a rape and I was supporting them through this, how I had been driven to a suicide attempt. Nothing. No comment on that. Its funny, because when I spoke about that on a helpline for suicide they was very helpful. Empathy? I saw no sign of this. I prefer to work with people who display empathy. The serious issues I just mentioned were not even acknowledged and likely also contributed to the refusal. I have heard stories of how many cherry pick their fights like a boxer picking the easy battles to boost their status while running from any challenge. The NHS wasn't even the issue I was asking for help with and I had clearly explained this. The issue was the DWP stated I couldn't leave my house at all, and attending assessment to confirm my diagnosis would also prove I could. However the very suggestion that I was seeking the support the law says I could get, seemed to make them believe I was just another Oliver Twist, a mentally ill case on benefits asking for more handouts, or worse that I am just a fraud like 75% are claimed to be by some of the press (1.2%) Of course such people never say this to your face, they just fob you off. Most Solicitors and psychiatrists run from the DWP, happy to support them when they persecute the disabled, and not happy to challenge them, despite it not actually having any effect on their careers to do so. Whereas all the real medical professionals have been condemning it. After dealing with the DWP, its easy to spot the fob off. The DWP are the UK masters of it so anyone else is less competent by comparison. Also remember half the country voted for these abuses to continue, so 50% of psychiatrists are likely to have voted for the government responsible for the most damage done to the disabled community in generations. The High Court and the UN have described blatant discrimination and human rights abuse in the UK against the disabled. If you really want to test your psychiatrist? Ask them how they voted, ask them if they support the cuts to benefits or what they think about the UN condemnation or the High Court finding some of it illegal. Ask them if they are fighting to stop this, if the answer is no? Then it is unlikely they will do it for a single patient, if they will not speak up for the thousands dead by suicide. How hard is it to provide an assessment? If that is your job. How hard is to note that the patient managed to travel to you for it? If you have been fobbed off by uncaring psychiatrists before I would look elsewhere. Like some therapists, there are psychiatrists that look for easy slam dunks for a nice chunk of cash. If it appears it is going to be complex, they fob you off with pathetic excuses that don't stand up to critical inquiry. "We don't think we can help you", which really means "We cant be bothered to help you" There are websites that peer review the top 10 specialists for specific conditions and none of the people at CP are on the list for my condition. Although I still praise the first consultant as he did not discriminate against me and helped me get support and was the opposite of what I have just encountered. It is well known that the worst cases and most difficulty exists in the lower classes. Its also known that many private groups actively avoid working with these group for this very reason. Working class is seen as the lowest class in Britain, because benefit class is not counted as even existing. They are the untouchables of Britain. So if you are disabled, then chances are high you need that kind of support and are being denied it. I cannot recommend CP for this, and they themselves openly admit that if you have difficulty after first seeing them, and return, this loyalty means nothing. You will be left to it if your diagnosis is undermined by another Doctor. It seems CP are concerned with looking good, not doing good. I am an active campaigner for mental health and disability and am working in exposing the discrimination, stigma and negative way in which people with mental health disability are treated as if they are idiots. Due to my experience I would not recommend this group and it seems to have gone down hill rapidly over the last 5 years. It seems they are supporters of the current governments position towards the disabled community, one of suspicion, doubt , avoidance and dismissal. So I am obligated to leave reviews and spread the world to others like me. The best thing about this experience is, that if I am now able to resolve this situation, then my ability to treat my condition exceeds that of experts trained in it. It does prove the point many make though that those with mental illness are the real experts as they have a lived experience. As many trained professionals cant even seem handle the kitchen when it gets a little hot. They would be useless in a fire ;) If none of them are capable of helping me, and I have mostly solved the situation myself this also reveals the level of incompetence around mental health which is quite worrying. I had this experience with a mechanic who claimed not to be able to fix my car before. I was able to do it watching YouTube videos. Some mechanic right? Sadly this applies to many professions it seems. For multiple experts to state We cannot help you". (Without even trying first) Then some time later you manage to sort it yourself. Something isn't right there. Seems like no win no fee solicitors. They want the easy cash. Not hard work. Advice for anyone else experiencing this? Have faith in yourself and find a psychiatrist that makes you feel happy and accepted as a human being, that's the basic starting requirement. You must have rapport and be treated well, if you get the feeling you are being lied to or fobbed off, make your excuses and leave. Treat your mind like you would treat your car and only let mechanics, or psychiatrists you can trust work with you. If they wont work with you, they are not honoring the codes set out for mental health and disability. I should specify I contacted the Cambridge office and a Professor there when I had this bad experience and it may just be this part of the company. When I did attend the London location 5 years ago I was treated great, received empathy and understanding and full support without judgement, fob offs or rejection. I was looked after and there was even concern to make sure I would get home safely. My GP has, on his own, outperformed those I had contact with here. Which goes to show you qualifications are not worth much and are no guarantee of competence. It is reputation that means everything and the reviews of patients.

I took my husband to see Dr Oyebode and I was very impressed. I thought it would take ages to understand my husband's problems. Dr Oyebode went through my husband's life and family in no time at all. His secretary Ms Baker is as good and helpful. I would recommend them highly to any body who needs kelp.

In my view, the psychologist (billed as a specialist at working with adolescents) lacked empathy, and failed to follow through with providing us with additional information that he promised. He had an arrogant manner and seemed rather pleased with himself but I got no sense that he was actually interested in people or helping them. The building itself was also uninviting. There was no name on the door to signpost us to either the waiting room (which was upstairs) nor to our practitioner's room. When I asked the practitioner about this, he snapped that he'd not yet slotted his name into the door (we arrived on time, not early, so I'd have thought this was something he should do prior). It would be normal to apologise for poor signposting, rather than reacting defensively. Very, very unimpressed with the whole set up. The receptionist who booked the appointment at Clinical Partners was pleasant and helpful but the psychologist himself was not.
