I have been taking Pregabalin since May 2014 following excision of a benign spinal tumour. I had taken it many years ago but didn't like the spaced out feeling it gave me. Unfortunately I have been left with very bad neuropathic pain Iand felt I had no choice but to re visit that medication. I started on 75 mg twice daily and now take 100 mg in ten morning and 200mg at night. I have tried to increase the morning dose to 150 but cannot tolerate the dizziness and spaced out feeling I get when it appears to peak about 4 hours after taking it. The other side effects I think I am presenting with are blurred vision and sensitivity to light, lack of concentration, forgetfulness, bloatedness, constipation, difficulty typing and writing things down and hypersensitivity.
The side effects of this medicine are tolerable, (sweating, weight-gain, bloating), and easily outweighed by the sheer pain relief obtained. These are in use for lower back/legs neurological pain and I have full pain-free movement nowadays, enabling me to return to an active lifestyle. I am currently on a dosage of approx. 400 - 500 mg per day.
I could deal with the minor side effects but the memory loss was so rapid that my family noticed straight away. Very difficult to remember names and details.
Totally transformed my life , i can now walk sooo much better
Used to reduce pain in both legs resulting from Dibetic Neuropathy. Initially the product was very successful but swelling of both feet, blurred vision etc.caused considerable problems.
