Caused dopamine surges hard enough to cause cardiovascular discomfort. Irritability. Addiction. No nhs perogative for weaning. Increased prescription rates due to pressure on nhs to prescribe less opiods due to "opiod crisis". This is very clearly far more damaging. Seems to be handed out without diagnostic investigation. Apon reaching discomfort i was told by chronic pain specialist to "increase dose". Luckily my gp who actually bothers to look at my file and the side affects of medications knew what it was and advised me not to increase. My syevere symptoms passed. Luckily i weaned off myself as it turns out now i may have a serious heart problem that has been aggravated early in life by poorly prescribed medicines like pregabalin aka lyrica. You would think a pharmacological practitioner at a hospital would advise medications based on the individual. Unfortunately it is clearly a drug that is encouraged to be used in my local area (a small island) as its popping up everywhere. everyones on it and half the people i know on it dont know what it is and are experiencing similair problems. It definitely gets you high. Doesnt do much for pain at all. If anything more likely to experience pain and emotional disregulation. Worst drug ive ever been prescribed. Very expensive too. 30 pounds per pill when i was first prescribed it. That was just a 50 mg dose. Ridiculous way to fix an opiod crisis. Repkace it with something more expensive more dangerous and less effective.
