Mr Andy Wilkinson was a kind and articulate gentleman. He explained every stage of the procedure clearly to me which I was very easily able to follow. The procedure itself was simply swallowing the barium which has a sweet taste with no after taste, and momentarily holding still while a very quick X-ray was taken, creating a snapshot of the swallow/movement from throat to stomach. There was nothing uncomfortable during this procedure. I was told immediately by Mr Andy Wilkinson of any concerns, and was told that his report would be with the consultant by the end of the afternoon. I felt very confident that I was given the best care also by the nurse in attendance with me.
