I was referred to Claire by an orthopaedic consultant after an MRI scan on my knee showed no damage despite considerable pain and discomfort in everyday life, particularly after running and cycling. Whilst a relief to hear that nothing was seriously wrong, the consultant described the symptoms as ‘mystery’ knee pain with no obvious mechanical fault but that Claire Robertson, a consultant physiotherapist, was an expert in knee pain and should be able to help. Claire is clearly an expert in her field and was able to diagnose the likely cause from simply asking questions about my lifestyle, sporting choices and recent experiences. A short examination confirmed her suspicions and a clear plan was put in place to sort the problem out. Within days the symptoms were better and within a fortnight I was pretty much back to normal. A follow up 2 months later confirmed that all is on track and we discussed a regime which might prevent such injury again and help with general fitness and flexibility. One of those great medical experiences where the clinician quickly understands the problem, is able to communicate clearly what it is and how it can be resolved. Highly recommend.
