Often no pharmacist available to dispense. Often some sort of stupid problem. Place is closed during lunch time.

In the past I have been challenged about prescribed medications I am taking for a long term condition. Sadly this has been both by qualified and unqualified staff, in full earshot of other customers in the pharmacy. Although I recognise the need for professional accountability, I find it unacceptable to be told I shouldn't be taking a prescribed medication or made to feel like a 'potential abuser' offered over the counter herbal options to purchase.

This is the only chemist to serve a very large area and I don't think they can actually cope. The staff and very helpful, but it has been twice now when my prescriptions have not been delivered to me, even when they were clearly labeled as such. Hence my low recommendation score. Most residence don't have a choice but to use this store. At the time of this review, and my visit, there was a delivery going on, at least 7 customers, including myself, and quite a lot of paperwork on the counter. This made the store seems chaotic. Hence my low score on tidiness.

It was a particularly hot day and the small shop became very opressive and stifling due to the overhead lighting. There seemed to be a general air of total disorganisation. Eventually there were six of us waiting for help. Mostly with prescriptions I came away empty handed and to my knowledge, although I was in the shop over twenty minutes no one was attended to satisfactorily. Three members of staff and a feeling of panic.

The 2nd year I come to Newark to care for Miss DH and often need to visit Lloyds Pharmacy. I always find the chemist spotless and the staff above average in service and attention. The assistants are both friendly and most helpful at all times.

Service has dropped in last six months. Items are frequently not in stock which means a double trip for prescriptions. Also much longer waiting times for prescriptions to be prepared. Only 2 chairs and often at least half a dozen people waiting and up to half-hour wait. On one occasion I was told an item was unobtainable due to production problems. When I contacted my Consultant he said it was readily available and gave me addresses of four other pharmacies (who said there had been no problem). This necessitated a round trip of 15 miles plus the inconvenience of having to get another script as Lloyds kept the original as there were other items on it. There have been several staff changes recently and overall impression is disorganised and/or understaffed,
