While visiting family in the south east I recently visited the Boots opticians in Canterbury with a sore eye to ask their advice. I was immediately seen by a young trainee Aidan, who diligently examined me and diagnosed a potentially serious eye condition that needed urgent treatment . Following advice from a more senior member of the team he organised for me to attend an eye clinic that afternoon in A & E at the William Harvey Hospital where again I was given swift and professional care and medication. On my return to Devon I went back to my local Boots optician in Newton Abbot where I was re assessed and once again I was very impressed by the way in which my eye condition was assessed and the after care advice I was given by the optometrist. I even received a follow up phone call from the trainee optician to check how I was doing. Overall I received fantastic care from Boots staff and the NHS and I would just like to say a big thank you to everyone who gave me such good care and enabled to me to make a full and speedy recovery. I really appreciate it.
