I think the staff are really friendly at my local branch, but the store itself looks really tired and getting an appointment can be quite hard which isn't good. I'm fortunate enough that I haven't needed to attend the opticians very often but I think the availability of appointments would be more of a problem to me if I needed to attend more regularly. The optician I saw was friendly and helpful and after a trial of my new lenses didn't hesitate in letting me trial another type so that I could see if there was a difference. I was originally a Dolland and Aitchison customer and moved to Boots after they merged - I am not convinced that the Boots service has ever quite matched what I used to receive and in all honesty it is most likely consumer apathy that has led me to stay with them for so long.

A very friendly and efficient team, nothing was to much trouble and a great sense of humour. I hope they enjoyed the special treat :)
